Use seam ripper and cut the buttonhole open from both ends towards the middle. Always test sew a buttonhole on the fabric you are using to sew the buttonhole. Tips: • Slightly reducing upper thread tension will produce better results. • Use an extra stabilizer for fine or stretchy fabrics. Corded Buttonhole (Stretch Fabrics) When sewing buttonholes in stretch fabrics we recommend cording the buttonhole to increase the stability and to keep the buttonhole from stretching out. 1.
