Raise the presser foot lifter (20) to the top position. Pull the needle thread underneath the presser foot and upward through the right-hand threader slot (17). Place the thread from left to right through the take-up lever (19). Wind the beginning of the thread several times around the bobbin in a clockwise direction. Push the bobbin to the right. Hold the end of the thread firmly and press the foot control. 28
