2 Initial Setting You need to follow these steps when you turn on this unit for the first time. Press [STANDBY-ON y]. Turn the TV on. Select the input to which the unit is connected. Use [K / L] to select your desired language, then press [OK] to set language. OSD Language English Français Español Use [K / L] to select the type of broadcasting signal, then press [OK]. The unit will start getting channels available in your area. Channel Preset Make sure the antenna is connected to "ANTENNA IN" jack. Antenna Cable (Analog) Cable (Analog / Digital) Press [OK] to activate "Clock Setting". Clock Setting Use [{ / B] to select an item to set, and use [K / L] to select the contents to suit your preference, then press [OK]. The analog mode and digital mode switch alternately. • When you switch the analog mode to the digital mode, it may take about 10 seconds until the digital channel selection is completed. 4 Channel Selection Select channels by using [CH / ] or [the Number buttons] found on remote control. • It may take up to 5 to 7 seconds to switch the digital TV channels. 5 5 - 1 Basic Recording 1Press [OPEN/CLOSE A] to open the disc tray and insert your disc with its label facing up. Align the disc to the disc tray guide. * Make sure the disc is compatible with this unit. (Refer to page 35 in the user manual for the list of compatible 2discs.) Press [REC MODE] to select a recording mode. To set one-touch timer recording (OTR)... This is a simple way to set the recording time in blocks of 30 minutes. Press [REC I] repeatedly until the desired recording time (30 minutes to 6 hours) appears on the TV screen. One-touch timer recording will start. • To cancel one-touch timer recording within the specified time, press [STOP C].
