NAVI/AV Symptom The map continually reorients itself. Tracking marks are not displayed. The daylight display is used even when the vehicle lights are on. The system will not switch on or will not operate. The display is very dim. There is no voice guidance or the volume is low. Does not switch to Vehicle Dynamics. Slope is not displayed on the Vehicle Dynamics screen. Inclination does not move on the 3D Calibration screen. Cause Your vehicle is operating in Simple hybrid mode. The navigation unit is installed with an extreme angle exceeding the limitation of the installation angle. Indication of the position of your vehicle is misaligned after a U-turn or reversing. The traveling direction is always set to north. The "Tracking Display" is turned off. Daytime is selected on "Day/Night Display". The Orange/white lead is not connected. Installation or connection has been carried out incorrectly. The vehicle's light is turned ON, and "Nighttime" is selected on "Day/ Night Display". The vehicle cabin temperature is extremely low. The navigation unit sensor does not begin working immediately after the navigation unit is installed on the vehicle. The speed pulse lead is not connected. Action (See) Connect the speed signal input (pink lead wire) of the power cable correctly, and reset the 3D Hybrid Sensor ("Learning Status"). Confirm the installation angle. (This unit must be installed within +30 degrees to -30 degrees of the horizontal, or within five degrees of your vehicle's direction of travel.) Check whether or not the reverse gear signal input lead (purple) is connected properly. (The Navigation System works properly without the lead connected, but positioning accuracy will be adversely affected.) Touch on the screen and change the map display. Check the "Tracking Display" settings (➞ Page 56) and make sure "Always" or "This Trip" is selected. Check the "Day/Night Display" setting (➞ Page 56) and make sure "Nighttime" is selected. Check the connection. Check with your dealer. Read about the "Day/Night Display" setting (➞ Page 56) and, if desired, select "Daytime". A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is used, and such displays tend to darken when cold. Wait for the vehicle to warm up. Refer to "Hardware Manual" to adjust the picture quality. Set the ambient light sensor not to be hidden. Check the volume setting on the display or turn the volume up according to "Hardware Volume" (➞ Page 56) and/or turn up the volume on the display. Drive for a little while. Connect the speed pulse lead. When the screen is frozen... Park your vehicle at a safe place, and cut the engine off. Turn the ignition key back to "Acc off". Then start the engine again, and turn the power to the navigation unit back on. If this does not solve the problem, press the RESET button on the navigation unit.
