The programme is installed to the navigation system using the application disc. When installing the programme, you carry out the following operations. When all the setup procedures are completed, you can use the navigation system. The screen images used in this section are AVIC900DVD as an example. • You cannot go back to the previous (preupgrade) version of the application after the software upgrade is completed. Also, the map discs that were previously used cannot be used. Instead, use the CNDV80MT DVDs as your new map discs. 1 Park your vehicle in a safe place. Leave the engine on, and make sure that the handbrake is applied. 2 Remove the current disc. Press the EJECT button. When the upgraded programme has been found, installation of the programme starts immediately. ❒ If you cannot insert a disc completely or if an inserted disc is not recognised, check that the label side of the disc is up. Press the EJECT button to eject the disc, and check the disc for damage before inserting the disc again. While this screen appears, NEVER switch the key position from ACC or turn the power to the navigation system, off. If you use the remote control type, perform these steps before inserting the upgrade disc. 1. Turn the engine off (or turn the ignition switch off). 2. Remove the current display from the navigation system. 3. Connect the touch panel display to the navigation system. (Refer to the Owner's manual or installation manual for the display.) 4. Turn the engine on (or turn the ignition switch on). When the installation is complete, the opening display appears.
