VARIOUS OPERATIONS ÷ You can operate PD-F507 by remote control unit and also by the main unit. ÷ You can operate PD-F407 by the main unit. ÷ The parenthesis ( ) show operations for the main unit. HI-LITE TIME 3 To scan quickly through tracks on a disc (HI-LITE scan) This function plays a 10 second portion located 1 minute from the start of each track on all the discs in the current play mode. ÷ Regardless of the ALL or SINGLE play mode, the play mode indicator goes off and all of the discs will be scanned. HI-LITE Press once HI-LITE ( ) Press HI-LITE during either play or stop mode. ÷ The unit plays a 10 second portion located 1 minute into the first track of each CD, starting from the first CD. The "DISC" and "SCAN" indicator blinks. HI-LITE Press twice HI-LITE ( ) The "SCAN" indicator blinks. Press HI-LITE twice during either play or stop mode. ÷ The unit plays a 10 second portion located 1 minute into each track of each CD, starting from the first CD. HI-LITE Press HI-LITE during program mode. ÷ The unit plays a 10 second portion located 1 minute into each track inthe program. Press once HI-LITE ( ) The "SCAN" indicator blinks. HI-LITE Press once HI-LITE ( ) Press HI-LITE during best selection memory playback. ÷ The unit plays a 10 second portion located 1 minute into each track in the best selection memory. The "SCAN" indicator blinks. 14 VARIOUS OPERATIONS En HI-LITE TIME 3 Press 3 when you reach 3 the trackyou want to hear. HI-LITE scan is canceled and normal play resumes. ÷ To cancel HI-LITE scan, press7. ( 3 ) Notes!! ÷ You can use 4/¢ to skip to another track during track scan. ÷ If the player is in ALL REPEAT mode, the HI-LITE scan will repeat. ÷ If the track is less than 1 minute long, about 10 seconds from the beginning will be played. If the track is less then 10 seconds long, the entire track will be played. ÷ When REPEAT is pressed, HI-LITE scan playback will be repeated. To use the TIME button TIME TIME () Press TIME during playback. Each time you press TIME, the display changes as follows. Disc number and Track number and = Elapsed time « Remaining time (TRACK) « Remaining time (DISC) « Total time (TOTAL) Notes!! ÷ During program mode, the TOTAL display shows the program step and total elapsed time of the program. ÷ Time remaining on the disc is not displayed during RANDOM or PROGRAM play. ÷ Time remaining on the track may not be displayed for tracks numbered greater than 24.
