PRV-9000 Operating Instructions The following messages may appear on-screen when using the DV IN/OUT port on the recorder's front panel: DV camcorder not connected Check the cable connection from the camcorder to the jack. Reseat the cable if necessary. Also verify that the camcorder is powered ON. The power is switched off Check the power on the camcorder and turn on if necessary. Too many camcorders connected The DV jack supports a single DV device at one time. No cassette Load a cassette in to the connected equipment. Put into play or stop mode The camcorder is either in camera/record mode or record-pause mode. Playback stopped Verify that the tape is running and that the camcorder is sending a signal. The DV camcorder does not operate Check the camcorder for operation or power problems. Try switching off the DVC link (detailed explanation in a later chapter). If problems with audio or video occur, read through Chapter 10: TROUBLESHOOTING for assistance. Note: Some camcorders are incompatible with the remote control for the PRV-9000. Operate the system manually if your camcorder is incompatible with the remote. This recorder is equipped with copy-protection technology. Do not use AV cables to connect this unit to a TV via a VCR or other device. 19

PRV-9000 Operating Instructions
The following messages may appear on-screen when using the
DV IN/OUT
port on the recorder’s front panel:

DV camcorder not connected
Check the cable connection from the camcorder to the jack. Reseat the
cable if necessary. Also verify that the camcorder is powered ON.

The power is switched off
Check the power on the camcorder and turn on if necessary.

Too many camcorders connected
The DV jack supports a single DV device at one time.

No cassette
Load a cassette in to the connected equipment.
±
Put into play or stop mode
The camcorder is either in camera/record mode or record-pause mode.

Playback stopped
Verify that the tape is running and that the camcorder is sending a
signal.

The DV camcorder does not operate
Check the camcorder for operation or power problems.
Try switching
off the DVC link (detailed explanation in a later chapter).
