SET UP Basic Playback Playing Sources with Stereo Sound The following instructions show you how to play audio or audio-visual stereo sources with the VSX-27TX/26TX/24TX. S0URCE MULTI OPERATION Î SYSTEM OFF RECEIVER DVD/LD TV/SAT VCR1 VCR2 MULTI CONTROL CD MD/ TAPE1 TUNER TVCONT CLASS ¶ MPX 7 - + TUNING 1¡ DTV ON/OFF DTV MENU BAND DIRECT ACCESS 38 - + STATION 4¢ - + CHANNEL 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 GUIDE +10 8 9 EXIT 0 ENTER DISC TV TV VOL TV CONTROL TV FUNC VOLUME EFFECT /CH SEL MENU MUTE FUNCTION SYSTEM SETUP ENTER THX /dts ADVANCED SIGNAL SELECT STANDARD REMOTE SETUP MIDNIGHT DSP STEREO DIGITAL NR DIGITAL MULTI PROCESSING AMPLIFIER REMOTE CONTROL UNIT 2 3 6 3 4 2 3 VSX-27TX 1 Turn on the power of the playback component. 2 Press the RECEIVER button to turn on the STANDBY receiver. indicator Be sure that the standby indicator turns off on the front panel. 3 Press MULTI CONTROL buttons or the FUNCTION button to select the source you want to playback. The FUNCTION button cycles through the sources in the following order: DVD/LD TV/SAT CD MD/TAPE 1 TUNER VCR 1 VCR 2 VIDEO PHONO 4 Press SIGNAL SELECT on the remote control or SIGNAL SELECT on the front panel to select the input signal corresponding to the source component. (See "Switching ANALOG/DIGITAL signal input" on p. 40.) 5 Start playback of the component you selected in step 1. 6 Adjust the volume by using the volume buttons on the remote control or the MASTER VOLUME on the front panel. memo If you are not able to get sound from the receiver the problem may well lie with the SIGNAL SELECT switch. You need to make sure the input is set to the appropriate ANALOG or DIGITAL setting. Refer to page 40 for more on this. OPERATION OPERATION 4 6 35
