Basic Playback DUAL MONO Setting The dual mono setting can only be used when listening to Dolby Digital discs that have dual mono software encoded in them. Dual mono software usually is used to put two different soundtracks on one DVD. With this setting you can choose which channel in the dual mono setting you want to listen to. Thus, it is useful for soundtracks that have one language on one channel and a different language on the other. Remember this setting is only applicable if you are using Dolby Digital software with dual mono and want to isolate one of the channels therein. Otherwise, just ignore this function. . 1,2 3 2 AUDIO/VIDEO MULTI-CHANNEL RECEIVER VSX-D909S Digital Signal Processor STANDBY/ON STANDBY DSP MODE STEREO/ DIRECT /DTS SIGNAL SELECT ADVANCED STANDARD MULTI-ROOM &SOURCE CONTROL PHONES VIDEO INPUT S-VIDEO VIDEO L AUDIO R MULTI CH INPUT CHANNEL TONE SELECT DIGITAL LOUDNESS NR FL DIMMER CLASS BAND - TUNING + SPEAKERS - BASS + - TREBLE + VIDEO TAPE 2 SELCT MONITOR MPX TUNER CONTROL MEMORY - STATION + DOWN INPUT SELECTOR MASTER VOLUME UP SIGNAL SELECT ANALOG SP A STEREO VOLUME dB DUAL ch1 setting SIGNAL SELECT ANALOG SP A STEREO VOLUME dB 1 Put the receiver in STANDBY mode. 2 While holding down the VIDEO SELECT button press the STANDBY/ ON button on the front panel. 3 You will see DUAL in the display for about five seconds.
