Please have an authorized Service Center modify this engine's carburetor if it is operated continuously above 5000 feet. Failure to modify may result in poor engine performance, spark plug fouling, hard starting, and increased emissions. Carburetor modification by an authorized Service Center will improve performance and allow this engine to continually meet US EPA and California ARB emission standards throughout its useful life. Important Note When the carburetor has been modified for high altitude operation, the air-fuel mixture may be too lean for operation at 5000 feet or below. This could result in the engine overheating and could cause serious engine damage. Please have an authorized Service Center restore high altitude converted carburetors back to the original factory specification before operating below 5000 feet. STOPPING THE ENGINE (fig. 2)
To stop the engine in an emergency:
1.
Flip Rocker Switch to STOP position (with a rotary type switch, turn the key
to the STOP position (see insert).
2.
Pull Safety Key from Engine.
Under normal conditions, use the following procedure:
