MAINTENANCE IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig. 16) The fuel filter should be replaced once each season. If fuel filter becomes clogged, obstructing fuel flow to carburetor, replacement is required. • With engine cool, remove filter and plug fuel line sections. • Place new fuel filter in position in fuel line with arrow pointing towards carburetor. CLAMP FUEL FILTER FIG. 16 • Be sure there are no fuel line leaks and clamps are properly positioned. • Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline. CLEANING • Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc. of all foreign matter. • Keep finished surfaces and wheels free of all gasoline, oil, etc. • Protect painted surfaces with automotive type wax. We do not recommend using a garden hose or pressure washer to clean your tractor unless the engine and transmission are covered to keep water out. Water in engine or transmission will shorten the useful life of your tractor. Use compressed air or a leaf blower to remove grass, leaves and trash from tractor and mower. SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, BEFORE PERFORMING ANY SERVICE OR ADJUST- MENTS: • Depress brake pedal fully and set parking brake. • Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position. • Turn ignition key to "STOP" and remove key. • Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped. • Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug. TRACTOR (See Fig. 17) TO REMOVE MOWER • Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position. • Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position. • Disengage belt tension rod (K) from lock bracket (L). CAUTION: Belt tension rod is spring loaded. Have a tight grip on rod and release slowly. • Remove mower belt from electric clutch pulley (M). • Disconnect front link (E) from mower - remove retainer spring and washer. • Go to either side of mower and disconnect mower suspension arm (A) from chassis and rear lift link (C) from rear mower bracket (D) - remove retainer springs and washers. • Go to other side of mower and disconnect the suspension arm and rear lift link.
