• BEFORE INITIAL USE If you are using the kettle for the rst time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water. • Operation 1. To ll water into the kettle, remove it from the power base (5) and open the lid by lifting it, ll with the desired amount of water to the kettle. Always ll the kettle between the minimum (0.5L) and maximum (1.7L) marks. Too little water will result in the kettle switching o before the water has boiled. NOTE: Do not ll the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling. Ensure that the lid is rmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet. 2. Position the kettle on the power base. 3. Connect the plug into a power outlet. The display turns ON for a moment, all buttons and indicator lights are lit and the appliance beeps once which means that the base is connected to the power source and the kettle is placed on the base. 4. Close the lid and place the kettle on the power base (5), the appliance beeps once, the display turns on and the ON/OFF (10) starts to ash blue. Below the horizontal line on the display you will see the current water temperature which will be visible for about 5 seconds. If you do not perform any actions, the kettle turns o automatically, at the moment, the ON/OFF button stays blue. 5. Press the ON/OFF button (10) without setting other functions. The kettle turns ON and beeps, the ON/OFF button will be lit red. The kettle boils water up to 212°F, then switches o automatically and with a long beep. 6. If you just want to heat up the water, use the boiling temperature buttons or . Press once to change the temperature. The temperature setting will be shown on the display. 5 www.PyleUSA.com
