Note: If the resistance is too high or too low, you can adjust the resistance by pressing the Resistance buttons. However, when the console compares your heart rate to the target heart rate, the resistance may automatically change. The pace guide will help you to maintain a constant pace during the program. When one of the arrows below the center indicator lights, increase your pace; when one of the arrows above the center indicator lights, decrease your pace. When the center indicator lights, maintain your current pace. Important: The pace guide is intended only to provide a goal. Make sure to pedal at a pace that is comfortable for you. The program will continue in this way until the upper display shows that no time remains in the program. Note: If you stop pedaling for several seconds, a tone will sound and the program will pause. To restart the program, simply resume pedaling. 7 Adjust the angle of the ramp as desired. See step 4 on page 12. 8 Monitor your progress with the two displays. See step 5 on page 12. 9 Turn on the fan if desired. See step 7 on page 13. 10 When the program is finished, the console will automatically turn off. See step 8 on page 13. 16
