Troubleshooting and routine maintenance ERROR MESSAGES ERROR MESSAGE CAUSE Replace PF Kit2 It is time to replace the PF kit2. Stacker Full Toner Empty X X = C, M, Y, K Toner Error Toner Low X X = C, M, Y, K Unable to Init. Unable to Print The output tray is full of paper. The toner is used up and printing is not possible. The machine has detected an incompatible toner cartridge. The indicated colour toner is nearly empty. The machine has a mechanical problem. Unable to Scan Waste Toner Full The waste toner pack is full. ACTION Call your dealer or Customer Service to replace the PF kit2. Remove the paper from the output tray. Replace the used toner cartridge with a new one. (See Replacing a toner cartridge on page C-29.) Use only our genuine toner cartridges. Order a new toner cartridge now. Turn off the machine's power switch and then on again. If the error message continues leave the machine for several minutes and then try it again. (The machine can be turned off for up to 60 hours without losing faxes stored in the memory. If the machine will be off longer than 60 hours, you can save the faxes in your PC. See Transferring faxes to your PC on page C-4.) Replace the waste toner pack. (See Replacing the waste toner pack on page C-32.) C C - 3
