TTRROOUUBBLLEESSHHOOOOTTIINNGG PROBLEM Compressor will not run POSSIBLE CAUSE Battery is not charged Pressure switch bad Tank is full of air Internal overload switch is tripped SOLUTION Recharge battery pack Take compressor to service center Compressor will turn on when tank pressure drops to cut-in pressure Turn off compressor and allow unit to cool; remove and reinstall battery packs Motor hums but cannot run Shorted or open motor winding or runs slowly Defective check valve or unloader Take compressor to service center Take compressor to service center Internal overload switch trips Lack of proper ventilation/room temperature Move compressor to well-ventilated area repeatedly too high Electrical overload Turn off unit and allow to cool; remove and reinstall battery packs. Air tank pressure drops when Loose connections (fittings, tubing, etc.) compressor shuts off Loose drain valve / open drain valve Check valve leaking Check all connections with soap and water solution and tighten Tighten drain valve / close drain valve Take compressor to service center Excessive moisture in dis- Excessive water in air tank charge air High humidity Compressor runs continu- Defective pressure switch ously Excessive air usage Air output lower than normal Broken inlet valves Connections leaking DANGER: Do not disassemble check valve, tank drain valves or safety relief valve with air in tank - bleed tank.
