Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. CHOKE LEVER The choke lever opens and closes the choke valve in the carburetor. Positions available include FULL CHOKE and RUN. FRONT HAND GUARD / CHAIN BRAKE The chain brake is designed to quickly stop the chain from rotating. When the front hand guard/ chain brake is pushed toward the bar, the chain should stop immediately. The chain brake does not prevent kickback. GUIDE BAR The factory-equipped guide bar has a small radius tip that offers a somewhat lower kickback potential. LOW KICKBACK SAW CHAIN The low kickback saw chain helps minimize the force of a kickback reaction by preventing the cutters from digging in too deeply at the kickback zone. PRIMER BULB The primer bulb pumps fuel from the fuel tank to the carb­ uretor. SAFE-T-TIP® ANTI-KICKBACK NOSE GUARD The SAFE-T-TIP® Anti-Kickback Nose Guard is an attachment provided on the end of the guide bar to prevent the chain on the end of the guide bar from contacting the wood. KNOW YOUR CHAIN SAW
