OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with products to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. SIDE DISCHARGE CHUTE WARNING: Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible serious injury. STUD SIDE DISCHARGE OPENING HOLE WARNING: Always turn off mower, make sure blades have stopped moving, and remove the start key from the mower when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. This will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury. WARNING: Always inspect mower for missing or damaged parts and blades for damage or uneven or excessive wear prior to use. Use of the mower with damaged or missing parts can result in serious personal injury. NOTICE: Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. The mower is configured for side discharge when shipped. If mulching is desired:  Lift the side discharge chute.  Place the mulch cover on the tab on the mower housing. WARNING: Make sure the side discharge chute fully closes when finished. Failure to do so could cause serious personal injury.  Connect the mulch cover latches to the two side mounting points on the mower deck housing.  Release the side discharge chute. SETTING THE PARKING BRAKE See Figure 3. To set the parking brake:  Place the drive levers in the open position.  Fully depress and hold the brake pedal. 13 - English

Mowing your lawn
INSTALLING MULCH COVER
See Figure 2.
The mower is configured for side discharge when shipped.
If mulching is desired:
Lift the side discharge chute.
Place the mulch cover on the tab on the mower housing.
Connect the mulch cover latches to the two side mount-
ing points on the mower deck housing.
Release the side discharge chute.
OPERATION

To set the parking brake:
