NOTICE: Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Please contact customer service or an authorized service center for assistance. APPLICATIONS You may use this product for the purpose listed below: Removing snow from desired areas such as driveways and sidewalks WARNING: Always disconnect snow blower from power supply when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. This will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury. CONNECTING TO POWER SUPPLY See Figure 6. This product is designed with a cord retainer that prevents the extension cord from being pulled loose while using. Form a loop with the end of the extension cord. Insert loop portion of extension cord through opening and place over cord retainer. Slowly pull loop against cord retainer until the slack is removed. Plug product into extension cord. NOTE: Failure to remove all excess cord slack from cord retainer could result in plug loosening from receptacle. ADJUSTING THE CHUTE See Figures 8 - 9. The chute can be adjusted to change both the direction and the distance to assist you in moving snow away from one area and placing it in another. The direction of snow removal can be adjusted up to 180º. Turn the chute rotation lever to the left to rotate the chute to the left. Turn the chute rotation lever to the right to rotate the chute to the right. The distance the snow is moved is adjusted using the chute deflector handle. Squeeze the two parts of the chute deflector handle together to adjust. Move the chute deflector forward (up) to increase the distance the snow will be thrown. WARNING: Do not force the chute so far forward that a gap appears between the deflector and the chute itself. Snow or other debris could be thrown through the gap back at the operator, resulting in serious personal injury. Move the chute deflector backward (down) to decrease the distance the snow will be thrown. OPERATING TIPS WARNING: Never use snow blower on frozen lakes, rivers, or similar surfaces. Death or serious injury could occur if the ice breaks. WARNING: Never use the snow blower on a rooftop or other unstable surface, which can result in death or serious personal injury. 9 - English
