FEATURES KNOW YOUR Rotary hammer See Figure 1. The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this operator's manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. Auxiliary Handle ASSEMBLY Your rotary hammer is equipped with an auxiliary handle assembly. For ease of operation, use the handle with either the left or right hand. blows per minute This tool features an impact speed of 0-4,000 BPM (Blows Per Minute). Blows Per Minute is the number of impacts per minute. depth Stop rod A depth stop rod has been supplied with this product to assist in controlling the depth of drilled holes. DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR (FORWARD/REVERSE) Your rotary hammer has a direction of rotation (forward/ reverse) selector located above the switch trigger for changing the direction of bit rotation. KEYLESS CHUCK The supplied keyless chuck allows you to hand-tighten or release the bit in the chuck jaws. LEVEL A level is located on the top of the motor housing to help you keep the bit level during use. LIVE TOOL INDICATOR The live tool indicator is located on the handle of the rotary hammer and indicates that the tool is connected to a power supply. lock-on button The lock-on button is convenient for continuous use for extended periods of time. mode selector Select either hammer drilling mode, hammer mode, or drilling mode depending on the type of application. The rotary hammer can function as a hammer drill, standard drill, or be used as a chisel in rotary hammer mode. SDS CHUCK The SDS chuck can accept either the supplied SDS bits, SDS flat chisel bit, or can be used to hold the 1/2 in. chuck. VARIABLE SPEED TRIGGER AND DIAL The variable speed dial enables the rotary hammer to operate faster or slower depending on the selected speed. ASSEMBLY UNPACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled. n Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping. n Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product. n If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-525-2579 for assistance.
