Symptom Explanation/Solution You cannot switch the DVD Camcorder on.  Check the Battery Pack or the AC Power adapter.  You have left the DVD Camcorder set to STBY for more than 5 The DVD Camcorder shuts off automatically.  minutes without using it. To turn on the DVD Camcorder, press the [Start/Stop] button. The Battery Pack is fully exhausted. Replace it with the fully charged battery pack. Charge runs out quickly.  The atmospheric temperature is too low.  The Battery Pack has not been charged fully.  The Battery Pack is completely dead, and cannot be recharged, use another Battery Pack. A vertical strip appears on the screen when recording a dark background.  The contrast between the subject and the background is too great for the DVD Camcorder to operate normally. Make the background bright to reduce the contrast or use the BLC function while you are recording in bright Surroundings. The image in the Viewfinder is blurred.   The Viewfinder lens has not been adjusted. Adjust the Viewfinder control lever until the indicators displayed on the Viewfinder come into sharp focus. Auto focus does not work.  Check the Manual Focus menu.  Auto focus does not work in the Manual Focus mode. When the power is turned off  and then turned on, a blue screen shows up instead of the screen. If the DC Adapter is connected, remove the cord, turn on the Power switch, and then connect it again. If the battery is connected, disconnect it, turn the Power switch to on, and then connect it again. 122

Explanation/Solution
You cannot switch the DVD
Camcorder on.
Check the Battery Pack or the AC Power adapter.
The DVD Camcorder shuts off
