ENGLISH DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer, SCL530/L540/L550 only) 1 The DIS function works in CAMERAmode only. 1 DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer) is a handshake compensation function that compensates for any shaking or moving of the hand holding the camcorder (within reasonable limits). 1 It provides more stable pictures when: s Recording in the Zoom In mode s Recording a small object close-up s Recording and walking at the same time s Recording through the window of a vehicle 1. Set the power switch to CAMERAmode and LOCK/STANDBY switch to STANDBYmode. (See page 22) s Open the LCD monitor and adjust it to see comfortably. 2. Press the MENU ON/OFF button. s The MENU list will appear. (SCL540 : CVF....OFF) LCD ADJUST EVF OFF DIS OFF D.ZOOM OFF DEMO OFF PROGRAM AE 3. Turn the MENU dial to DIS. LCD ADJUST EVF OFF DIS OFF D.ZOOM OFF DEMO OFF PROGRAM AE 4. Press ENTER. s The DIS setting will change. 5. Press the MENU ON/OFF button to end the setting. s When the DIS is set, the DIS mark ( ) will displayed on the OSD. LCD ADJUST EVF OFF DIS ON D.ZOOM ON DEMO OFF PROGRAM AE Notes: 1. It is recommended you deactivate the handshake compensation function when using a tripod. 2. The DIS function will not operate in the DSE mode. 37
