Menu functions Caller ID (Menu 9.5.5) This network service allows you to prevent your phone number from being displayed on the phone of the person being called. However, some networks do not allow the user to change this setting. • Default: use the default setting provided by the network. • Hide number: ensure your number does not display on the other person's phone. • Send number: send your number each time you make a call. Band selection (Menu 9.5.6) For the phone to make and receive phone calls, it must register with an available network. Your phone can handle any of the following types of networks: GSM 1900, Combined GSM 900/1800, and GSM 900/1800/1900. The country where you purchased your phone determines the default band that it uses. When you travel abroad, you must remember to change to an appropriate band. 80 When you select a new band, your phone automatically searches for all available networks. Your phone registers with a preferred network within the band. Active line (Menu 9.5.7) Some SIM cards may be used with two subscriber numbers. If your SIM card supports it, use this menu to select the line that is used to make calls. Calls can be answered on both lines, regardless of the selected line. Connectivity (Menu 9.6) Use this menu to activate the IrDA port or the Bluetooth feature. You cannot use the Bluetooth and IrDA features while using multimedia features such as voice recorder, camera, and MP3 player, or vice versa. Bluetooth (Menu 9.6.1) Using Bluetooth wireless, you can connect the phone wirelessly to other Bluetooth devices and exchange data with them, talk hands-free, or control the phone remotely.
