Basics Touchscreen The Gear may not recognize touch inputs close to the edges of the screen, which are outside of the touch input area. Tapping Tap with your finger to open an app, select a menu item, press a displayed button, or enter a character using the keyboard. Touch-screens respond best to a light touch from the pad of your finger or a capacitive stylus. Using excessive force or a metallic object when pressing on the touch-screen may damage the tempered glass surface and void the warranty.
