Turn the memory camcorder on. • Connect a power source to the memory camcorder. ➥pages 14, 21 (A battery pack or an AC power adaptor) • Slide the POWER switch downward to turn on the power. • Set the Lens open/close switch to open ( ). ➥page 10 2. Check the subject on the LCD screen. 4. Press the PHOTO button. • Shutter sound is heard. Indicators on the screen disappear, and the photo image is recorded. • While saving the photo image on the memory card, you cannot proceed with the next recording. 5. When taking photo images is finished, turn the memory camcorder off. • The photo image is taken only in the 4:3 aspect ratio as shown in the illustration. • Audio will not be recorded with the photo image on the storage media. • If focusing is difficult, use the manual focus function. ➥page 63 • Do not operate the POWER switch or remove the memory card while accessing the storage media. Doing so may damage the storage media or the data on storage media. • Photo image files recorded by your memory camcorder conform to the "DCF (Design rule for Camera File system)" universal standard established by the JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association). • DCF is an integrated image-file format for digital cameras: Image files can be used on all digital devices conforming to DCF. • The recorded photo image size is 800X600. • In Movie Record mode ( ), pressing PHOTO button will switch to Photo Record mode ( ).
