Troubleshooting Problem No display/partial display/unit will not turn on Unit operates but Telemetric HR not displayed Check Solution Electrical (wall) outlet If outlet does not function, use a properly functioning outlet. Connection at front of unit Connection should be secure and undamaged. Replace adapter or connection at unit if damage appears. Main console cable integrity Replace cable if wires appear crimped or cut. Main console cable connections/ Confirm cable is connected securely at the back orientation of the console and at the base of the console mast. Console display for cracks or other Replace console if damaged. damage Console Display Replace computer if console only has partial display. Chest Strap Make sure strap is directly against skin and contact area is moist. Strap should be Polar® compatible. Interference Try moving unit away from sources of interference (TV, Microwave, etc). No speed/RPM reading Chest Strap Main console cable integrity Connect strap to a functioning Polar® compatible device to see if it works. If it does not function, replace strap. If strap works with other devices but not with the Schwinn® 460, replace HR receiver. All wires in cable should be intact. Replace cable if wires appear crimped or cut. Main console cable connections/ position Magnet position (requires shroud removal) RPM Sensor (requires shroud removal) Confirm cable is securely connected and properly positioned. Small latch on connector should line up and snap into place. Replace flywheel or entire main assembly if you do not see a magnet. RPM sensor should be aligned with magnet and connected to data cable. Re-align sensor if necessary. Replace if there is any damage to sensor or connecting wire. 26 Owner's Manual
