Polling 5. Special Functions Polling Polling allows you to call another fax machine and have it send a document to your machine without operator assistance. In other words, the receiving fax machine, not the transmitting fax machine, initiates the transmission. You can use your fax machine to both poll and be polled by others. Polling others To poll another fax machine, follow the steps below. ♦ If desired, you can dial more than one fax number to receive documents consecutively from a group of fax machines (this is called "Serial Polling"). 1 Press the FUNCTION key and 8. Polling allows you to call another fax machine and have it send a

words, the receiving fax machine, not the transmitting fax machine,
