• HOW TO REPLACE THE STATIONARY KNIFE Danger: Before replacing the stationary knife, disconnect power line plug from the wall receptacle. * The stationary knife should be changed when it becomes dull. * The stationary knife can be replaced according to the directions provided, however if there are any difficulties experienced, consult your Singer representative to make the adjustments. * Be sure that the power line plug is disconnected from the electric source. Open the looper cover and set the movable upper knife i) in the non-operating position (page 23). * Loosen the stationary knife set screw 0 and remove the stationary knife C) . c9 0 0 11 * Place a new stationary knife in the groove of the stationary knife holder, align the cutting edge level with the top surface of the throat plate O. * Replace stationary knife holder C) and tighten set screw. * Return the movable upper knife 0 to its operating position. 41

Danger:
Before
replacing
the
stationary
knife,
dis-
connect
power
line
plug
from
the
wall
receptacle.

The
stationary
knife
should
be
changed
when
it

dull.
*
The
stationary
knife
can
be
replaced
according

the
