BASTING Basting is temporary stitching, used for fitting garments, and for gathering and marking fabric. No. 14 Basting stitch All-Purpose Foot (A) Sewing 14 1. Draw up the bobbin thread for good result. (See page 20) Lower the feed teeth by moving the feed teeth lever to the left.
