Protecting your device from water and dust In order for your device to be waterproof, the covers for the micro USB port and the headset jack must be firmly closed. Also, make sure that the battery cover is attached correctly. Avoid exposing your device to environments with excessive dust or moisture. Normal wear and tear along with damage to your device can reduce its ability to resist dust or moisture. You can use the device in the following fresh (non-saline) water conditions: Swimming pool Diving Shooting photos and videos You should only use the device in water depths of 1.5 meters or less. Do not use your device in the following conditions: Sand/mud Salt water Other liquid chemicals Water can sometimes cause unintended touch actions on the screen. It is therefore recommended to activate the Touch Block function before using the device in water. You may need to first download the Touch Block application by using the Update center application in your device. Your smartphone is waterproof and dust resistant in compliance with the Ingress Protection ratings IP5X, IPX5, and IPX8 (see details below).
