Getting Started Connecting the other equipment (Set-top box, etc.) Connect the system so that video signals from the system and other equipment are output to the TV, and audio signals from the equipment are output to the system as follows. TV Video out Audio out Equipment (Set-top box, VCR, PlayStation®, or digital satellite receiver, etc.) System Signal flow : Video signal : Audio signal Select one of the following connection methods according to the jack type of the equipment. A B A High quality Optical digital cord (not supplied) DIGITAL OUT OPTICAL B Audio cable (not supplied) L AUDIO OUTPUT R Standard quality Note • If you make either connection above, set [Control for HDMI] in [HDMI Settings] of [System Settings] to [Off] (page 50). • You can enjoy equipment sound by selecting the "AUDIO" function for connection B. 20US
