Getting Started Connecting the other components When a component you wish to connect to the system has an HDMI (OUT) jack You can connect a component that has an HDMI (OUT) jack such as a set-top box/digital satellite receiver or PLAYSTATION®3, etc., with an HDMI cable. An HDMI cable connection can send both video and audio signals. By connecting the system and the component using an HDMI cable, you can enjoy high-quality digital picture and sound via the HDMI (IN 1) or HDMI (IN 2) jack. To the HDMI OUT jack of the set-top box/ digital satellite receiver or PLAYSTATION®3, etc. HDMI OUT • Video signals from the HDMI (IN 1/2) jacks are sent to the HDMI (OUT) jack only when the "HDMI1" or "HDMI2" function is selected. • To send an audio signal from the HDMI (IN 1/2) jacks to the HDMI (OUT) jack, you may need to change the audio output setting.
