Even though the server is set up as a DHCP client, no IP address appears on the server's LCD display. • Verify whether the network cable is connected correctly. • Verify whether the front LAN LED and the rear LINK LED are lit. • Verify whether the DHCP server is active on the network. • Verify whether any IP addresses are available for the DHCP server to assign. Cannot backup to the library unit • Check the ARCserve settings. To set "ARCserve", make sure you access the "ARCserve" page from "Backup & Restore" under "Backup & Restore" in the BSV-M1 Administration Menu. For more information, refer to the ARCserve Online Manual. Use "Application Manual" in the "Online Document Menu" to view the Online Manual. The server shuts down automatically • Check whether the shutdown schedule is set to "Disable" in "Shutdown" of the BSV-M1 Administration Menu. Others • If you are unable to rectify problems by the methods described above, or the system becomes unstable, you can reset the system manually. For details, refer to "System Restore" (page 48) in "Appendix".
