Additional Information Troubleshooting Symptom Some tiny white spots appear on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder. Unknown pictures or messages are displayed on the LCD screen or in the viewfinder. The click of the shutter does not sound. The image is not bright even if you use the video flash light. Cause and/or Corrective Actions • When the shutter speed is too low or the low lux mode is selected. • If 10 minutes elapse after you set the POWER switch to CAMERA or DEMO MODE is set to ON in the menu settings without a cassette inserted, your camcorder automatically starts the demonstration. c Insert a cassette. The demonstration stops. You can also cancel DEMO MODE. (p. 112) • BEEP is set to OFF in the menu settings. c Set it to MELODY or NORMAL. (p. 107) • The ND FILTER selector is set to 1 or 2. c Set it to OFF. (p. 46) • The manual adjustment is not suitable for the situations. (The indicator flashes.) c Set the AUTO LOCK selector to AUTO LOCK, or cancel the manual adjustment.
