Symptom The image is displayed upside down. The image is interrupted by noise when you view a movie on a computer. You cannot print an image. An error message appears when you set the supplied CD-ROM in your computer. Cause • The image recorded in mirror mode may be displayed inverted by 180 degrees, depending on the software you use. • You are playing back the movie directly from the "Memory Stick Duo." - - • The computer display is not set correctly. Solution p To modify the inverted image, use the rotate tool of the software you use. p Copy the movie to the hard disk of your computer and then play back the movie from the hard disk (pages 58, 59 and 65). p Check the printer settings. p Click on HELP for the "ImageMixer Ver.1.5 for Sony" application software. p Set the computer display as follows: Windows: 800 × 600 dots or more High Color (16-bit color, 65,000 colors) or more Macintosh: 800 × 600 dots or more 32,000-color or more "Memory Stick Duo" Symptom You cannot insert a "Memory Stick Duo." You cannot record on a "Memory Stick Duo." You cannot format a "Memory Stick Duo." You have formatted a "Memory Stick Duo" by mistake. 72 Cause Solution • You are inserting the "Memory Stick Duo" backwards. • The "Memory Stick Duo" has been inserted into a Memory Stick Duo adaptor. p Insert it from the right side (page 17). p Insert it directly into the camera. • You are using a "Memory Stick Duo" with a write-protect switch, and the switch is set to LOCK. • The "Memory Stick Duo" is full. p Set it to the recording position (page 82). p Delete unnecessary images (page 50). • You are using a "Memory Stick Duo" with a write-protect switch, and the switch is set to LOCK. p Set it to the recording position (page 82). • When you format a "Memory Stick Duo," all data in the "Memory Stick Duo," including images that were write-protected by another device, will be permanently erased and cannot be restored. p When you are using a "Memory Stick Duo" with a write-protect switch, we recommend that you set the write-protect switch to LOCK to prevent accidental erasure (page 82).
