When you playback/record in the Digital8 system The video head may be dirty if - mosaic-pattern noise appears on the playback picture. - playback pictures do not move. - playback pictures are hardly visible. - playback pictures do not appear. - the x indicator and " CLEANING CASSETTE" message appear alternately on the monitor screen. or When you play back in the Hi8/standard 8 (analog) system The video head may be dirty if - playback pictures contain noise. - playback pictures are hardly visible. - playback pictures do not appear. or If the above problem occurs, clean the video heads with a Sony V8-25CLD cleaning cassette (not supplied). Check the picture and if the above problem persists, repeat cleaning. 68

To ensure normal recording and clear pictures, clean the video heads.
When you playback/record in the Digital8
system
The video head may be dirty if
– mosaic-pattern noise appears on the playback picture.
– playback pictures do not move.
