Adjusting for shooting conditions Recording in dark places (NightShot) When you press NIGHTSHOT, appears, and you can record images even in total darkness. Press NIGHTSHOT again to cancel the NightShot function. Using NightShot in bright places will cause a malfunction of your camcorder. Adjusting focus, etc., manually (MANUAL dial) It is convenient to make manual adjustments using the MANUAL dial, by assigning a menu item ([FOCUS] in the default setting) to the MANUAL dial. MANUAL button To assign a menu item Press and hold MANUAL for a few seconds to display the [DIAL SETTING] screen. Rotate the MANUAL dial to assign an item. You can assign [FOCUS], [EXPOSURE], [AE SHIFT], or [WB SHIFT]. Using a tripod Attach the tripod (sold separately) to the tripod receptacle using a tripod screw (sold separately, the length of the screw must be less than 5.5 mm (7/32 in.)).
