CD player Symptom The disc tray does not close. Play does not start. Plait does not begin from the first selection. Cause The disc is not placed correctly. Dirty disc. The disc is inserted upside down. II is engaged. Moisture condensation. The unit is in the program or shuffle mode Remedy Placethe disc correctly on the disc tray. Clean the disc. Insert the disc with the printed side up. Press the►orII button again to release it. Leave the unit turned on for approximately one hour. Press the CONTINUE button. Remote commander Symptom The remote commander does not operate the unit. Operation is not possible. Cause The batteries are run down. The remote commander is not pointed at the remote sensor. There is an obstacle between the remote commander and the unit. The remote commander is too far from the unit. The internal control program may not be functioning. Remedy Replace both batteries. Point the remote commander at the sensor. Remove the obstacle. Move closer. Turn off the power and turn it again. 25
