Features PS-HX500 is a stereo turntable system designed for analog playback of vinyl records. By connecting a computer to the turntable, you can use the recording application exclusively designed for this turntable product to record audio tracks of the vinyl record as high resolution audio sources. You can play recorded high resolution audio sources either by transferring the recorded high resolution audio sources to a compatible audio device or by using computer software that supports high resolution audio playback. Using your turntable for the first time You first need to assemble your turntable. Thoroughly read the instructions in this manual and assemble the turntable. (See page 9.) Listening to a vinyl record Your turntable does not have a built-in speaker. To listen to a vinyl record, you need to connect an audio device, such as a stereo system or an amplifier, to the turntable with the supplied PHONO cables and play the vinyl record. (See page 14.) Recording audio tracks onto a computer You need to connect a computer to your turntable via the USB port and install the Hi-Res Audio Recorder application to the computer. (See page 18.) Note Your turntable is not an analog record player designed for DJ (Disk Jockey) use. Stopping or reversing the rotation of the vinyl record by hand will cause malfunctions.
