Storing a number of the Caller ID list into the Phone Directory 1 Display the name and phone number you want to store from the Caller ID list (see page 39). SMITH JOHN 2 Confirm the number and press (SELECT). DIAL PGM ERASE 3 Make "PGM" flash using the Jog lever, then press (SELECT). The cursor flashes at the end of the name. Enter or change the name, if necessary (see page 28). SMITH JOHN 4 Press (SELECT). The cursor flashes at the right of the phone number. Enter or change the phone number, if necessary (see pages 28 and 29). SMITH JOHN 5 Press (SELECT) again. You will hear a long confirmation beep and the name and number are stored. Notes • Do not allow more than 20 seconds to elapse between each step of the procedure. • If the number displayed in step 1 is not the one you should store, you can change the number of digits of the phone number (See page 44). • If the phone is connected to a Private Branch Exchange (PBX), you may need to add an outside line access digit.
