Help Guide Wireless Speaker SRS-XG300 Selecting the quality for music playback via BLUETOOTH connection (Codec) The "Priority on Sound Quality" and "Priority on Stable Connection" preferences are available on the speaker for the BLUETOOTH connection quality. The "Priority on Sound Quality" preference provides compatibility not only with SBC but also with AAC and LDAC for music playback of high sound quality, whereas the "Priority on Stable Connection" preference enables music playback via more stable BLUETOOTH connections. At the time of purchase, the "Priority on Sound Quality" preference is selected. Supported Codecs Priority on Sound Quality (default setting): Optimal codec is automatically selected from AAC, LDAC, and SBC. Priority on Stable Connection: SBC is selected. 1 Turn on the speaker. The (BLUETOOTH) indicator flashes* in blue. * If the BLUETOOTH device that has previously been connected with the speaker is located nearby, the speaker may be connected automatically with the device. In such a case, the (BLUETOOTH) indicator on the speaker lights up in blue. 2 Change the BLUETOOTH connection quality. When using the buttons of the speaker 1. Press and hold the (play)/ (call) button and the (BLUETOOTH) button simultaneously for about 2 seconds. When the setting is changed to the "Priority on Stable Connection" preference, the (power) indicator flashes 3 times in green. When the setting is changed to the "Priority on Sound Quality" preference, the (power) indicator flashes twice in green. When the speaker is connected with BLUETOOTH devices, all the connections are automatically disconnected and then reestablished and the new setup is applied. Hint As long as the speaker is connected to an AC outlet by the supplied AC adaptor, you can change the BLUETOOTH connection quality while the speaker is turned off as well. When using "Sony | Music Center" 1. Pair the speaker with a BLUETOOTH device, such as a smartphone. When a BLUETOOTH connection is established, you hear voice guidance (BLUETOOTH connected) from the speaker. 47
