Up and Setting Up the Speaker System To avoid short-circuiting the speakers Short-circuiting of the speakers may damage the receiver. To prevent this, make sure to take the following precautions when connecting the speakers. Setting Up the Speaker System Multi Channel Surround Setup For the best possible surround sound all speakers should be the same distance from the listening position (A).
