Help Guide MULTI CHANNEL AV RECEIVER STR-DN1050/STR-DN850 System requirements for a wired LAN connection The following system environment is required to use the network function of the receiver via a wired LAN connection. Broadband connection A broadband connection to the Internet is required in order to listen to the music services and to update the software of the receiver. Router Use a router compatible with transmission speeds of 100 Mbps or greater to enjoy content on your home network. We recommend that you use a router equipped with a built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server. This function automatically assigns IP addresses to devices on the LAN. LAN cable (CAT5) We recommend using a normal shielded type cable for a wired LAN to avoid electric noise. Some flat-type LAN cables are easily affected by noise. Server A server is a device which delivers music content to a DLNA device on a home network. A device that can be used as a server (a computer, etc.) must be connected to your wireless or wired LAN home network. Notes on use 4 - 488 - 938 - 11(1) Copyright 2014 Sony Corporation 138
