English 19 Troubleshooting Guide 19 Troubleshooting Guide 19.1 Backpack Battery Always disconnect the battery before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance. Condition Power tool does not start when switched on. Power tool cuts out during operation. LEDs and Acoustic Signals 1 LED flashes green and four long beeps are emitted. 1 LED glows red. 4 LEDs flash red and a rapid succession of short beeps is emitted. 3 LEDs glow red. 3 LEDs flash red. 1 LED glows red. 3 LEDs glow red. Cause Remedy Battery has low charge. ► Charge the battery, @ 8.2. Battery too hot / too cold. Malfunction in battery. Power tool too hot. ► Allow the battery to warm up or cool down gradually at ambient temperatures of about 50 °F to 68 °F (10 °C to 20 °C). ► Disconnect the battery from the power tool and reconnect it. ► Switch on the power tool. ► If the LEDs continue to flash, do not attempt to use the battery. The battery has a malfunction and must be replaced. ► Allow the power tool to cool down.
