N Set the activating lever to B Checking the auger brake for proper functioning The auger brake is subject to normal wear. Before starting work and after releasing a jammed auger, check regularly if it is fulfilling its function. Each time before starting work and after releasing a jammed auger N When idling, activate the auger brake and open the throttle wide for a brief period (max. 3 seconds) - the auger must not rotate. If the auger brake fails, it must be repaired immediately by a servicing dealer - STIHL recommends the STIHL dealer. 13
