English 22 Inspection and Maintenance 22 Inspection and Maintenance 22.1 Inspection and Maintenance Chart Always remove the connecting cord before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance. The following maintenance intervals are examples and apply for normal operating conditions. Actual use and your experience will determine the frequency of required inspection and maintenance. Carry out only the maintenance operations described in this manual. There are no user-authorized repairs. STIHL recommends that repair work be performed by authorized STIHL servicing dealers. To properly maintain the hedge trimmer: ► Lubricate the gearbox. ► Sharpen the cutting blades. ► Have worn or damaged cutting blades replaced by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. ► Have worn, missing or damaged safety labels replaced by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer.
