Approved Basic Power Tools English / USA Installing the Gearbox 402BA001 KN Sweeping corners Operation of STIHL KW PowerSweep attachment is permitted only with the following basic power tools: 223BA028 KN STIHL FC 95, STIHL FC 110, STIHL FH 75, STIHL FS 65-41), STIHL FS 831), STIHL FS 851), STIHL FS 901), STIHL FS 1001), STIHL FS 1101), STIHL HL 731), STIHL HL 751), STIHL HL 1001) and STIHL KW 85 : Turn the PowerSweep over. Other combinations of the attachment and non-approved basic L power tools are not permitted since they may result in accidents or serious personal injury. 381BA015 KN Sweepings are thrown back toward the operator. For this reason: : Run the PowerSweep at a low throttle setting only. The PowerSweep pulls the operator forward. Debris thrown back toward the operator may affect footing. 223BA029 KN Retrofitting the Loop Handle* This attachment may be operated only with a basic power tool equipped with a loop handle. The loop handle does not need to be equipped with a barrier bar*. The following machines must be retrofitted with a loop handle: 0° versions of the HL 73, HL 75 and HL 100 : To retrofit the loop handle see "Mounting the Loop Handle". 1) Not approved for units with a bike handle or models FS 85 X, FS 110 X, HL 73 K, HL 73-0°, HL 75 K, HL 75-0°, HL 100 K and HL 100-0° * see "Guide to Using this Manual" KW Preparations : Loosen the clamp screws on the gearhead of the power tool and pull the gearhead off the drive tube. The drive shaft may slip out of the tube when you pull off the gearhead. If this happens push the drive shaft back into the tube. The drive shaft must not project from the tube any more than L (7/8" or 22 mm). If necessary, apply slight pressure to the drive shaft and rotate it slowly at the same time until it can be pushed in to the required length. 11

Sweeping corners
:
Turn the PowerSweep over.
Sweepings are thrown back toward the
operator. For this reason:

Run the PowerSweep at a low

Preparations
:
Loosen the clamp screws on the
gearhead of the power tool and pull
the gearhead off the drive tube.
The drive shaft may slip out of the
tube when you pull off the gearhead.
If this happens push the drive shaft
back into the tube.
The drive shaft must not project from the
tube any more than

drive shaft and rotate it slowly at the
