The owner and operator of this equipment must use care to reduce the risk of personal injury and property damage from its operation. ■■ Limit operation to responsible adults who have read the Instruction Manual and who are responsible and physically capable of controlling the mower during operation. ■■ Operation by children or untrained individuals is prohibited. See local ordinances and regulations which may further restrict the age and qualification of operators. ■■ Never operate the mower when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. ■■ Never operate the mower while using a mobile phone or any other electronic device. Operating while distracted can increase the risk of serious personal injury to the operator and bystanders. ■■ Wear safety shoes, hard hats, long pants, protective eyewear and hearing protection during operation to reduce the risk of personal injury. Avoid loose-fitting clothing, jewelry and any other apparel that could be caught on moving parts. Secure hair above shoulder level before starting work. ■■ Always use common sense when working. Contact a professional or a supervisor if you are unsure whether your assigned task can be completed safely. Never put hands near moving parts and keep clear of the discharge opening at all times. ■■ Replace worn or damaged parts to keep the mower in working order and to reduce the risk of injury from improper or inadequate maintenance. ■■ When loading or unloading the mower from a trailer, always use full width ramps that extend beyond the width of the mower. ■■ Do not use the lawnmower in bad weather conditions, especially when there is a risk of lightning. This decreases the risk of being struck by lightning. ■■ Grass catchers and other accessories can change the unit's center of gravity. Use care when operating and see your accessory manual for information about proper balance and counterweights. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for wheel weights or counterweights.
