A

SATELLITE

TUNER(not

flied)

When

the

VCR

receives

the

signals

using

the

audio/video

input

jacks

on

the

rear

panel

of

the

VCR

from

your

satellite

tuner,

the

VCR

will

turn

itself

on,

and

record.

Then

when

there

is

no

signals,

the

VCR

stops

and

turns

itself

off

automatically.

If

your

satellite

tuner

has

the

EPG

(Electronic

Program

Guide),

you

can

timer

record

using

it.

For

details,

please

see

your

satellite

tuner's

owner's

manual.

Also,

you

need

to

follow

the

steps

below

for

the

VCR.

•

Connect

the

audio/video

input

jacks

on

the

rear

panel

of

the

VCR

to

the

audio/video

output

jacks

on

the

satellite

tuner.

•

Press

the

TAPE

SPEED

button

on

the

VCR

to

select

the

desired

tape

speed

(SP/LP/SLP).

Note

for

viewing

or

recording

a

program

using

your

sat-

ellite

tuner

connected

to

the

VCR:

•

If

a

broadcasting

program

has

the

copy

guard

protec-

tion,

you

may

not

record

clearly.

•

When

you

view

a

program,

noise

may

appear

on

the

TV

screen

by

the

copy

guard

protection

of

this

VCR.

In

this

case,

connect

the

satellite

tuner

to

the

TV

di-

rectly.

•

When

you

record

a

program

using

the

Auto

Satellite

Link

feature,

the

beginning(a

few

seconds)

of

a

pro-

gram

may

be

not

recorded.

•

If

your

satellite

tuner

has

the

synchronized

timer

fea-

ture

by

the

broadcasting

time

of

a

program,

please

see

your

satellite

tuner's

owner's

manual.

program

to

be

recorded

on

the

satellite

box.

your

box's

"VCR

SET

UP"

Press

the

MENU

button

until

the

VCR

SET

UP

menu

appears.

LINK"

Confirm

"SATELLITE

LINK"

is

pointed

to.

Then,

press

the

F.FWD/01-

button

so

that

[ON]

will

appear

next

to

"SATELLITE

LINK"

on

the

TV

screen.

After

1

seconds,

the

VCR

turns

off

and

the

TIMER

in-

dicator

on

the

VCR

will

come

on.

•

To

exit

a

stand-by

mode

of

the

Auto

Satellite

Link,

press

the

POWER

button

to

turn

on

the

VCR.

In

this

case,

the

VCR

turns

the

Auto

Satellite

Link

setting

to

OFF

automatically.

•

When

stopping

a

recording

of

the

Auto

Satellite

Link

while

in

progress,

press

the

STOP/EJECT

button

on

the

VCR.

In

this

case,

the

VCR

turns

the

Auto

Sat-

ellite

Link

setting

to

OFF

automatically.

•

There

is

a

chance

that

a

recording

will

not

be

per-

formed

correctly

when

another

timer

recording

over-

laps.

If

the

preset

time

for

an

Auto

Satellite

Link

comes

up

during

a

timer

recording,

the

timer

record-

ing

has

priority.
