To turn off the timer When you do not use the timer, press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button to turn it off. ENGLISH DISPLAY ALARM 1, ALARM 2 To turn on the timer 1 After setting the timer, press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button to turn the timer on. The Timer indicator ( or ) disappears from the display. Press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button again to turn it on. The Timer indicator ( or ) appears on the display. To check the timer setting While in standby mode, you can check the timer setting. Each time the DISPLAY button is pressed, the display shows the setting as follows. 2 Prepare the source. When the source is set to "CD", set a CD. When the source is set to "USB", plug the USB memory into the USB connector. When the source is set to "iPod", insert an iPod. When the source is set to "TUNER", tune in a station. 3 Press the button to turn the unit standby. Do not forget to turn the unit standby, or the timer will not work. On time of ALARM 1 Source of ALARM 1 Volume of ALARM 1 On time of ALARM 2 Source of ALARM 2 Volume of ALARM 2 If you turn the timer on when the unit is on, the unit will turn off when the timer reaches the off time. < Playback volume will gradually increase up to your set volume when the unit is turned on by timer. < When the source is set to "CD" but no disc is loaded, and when the source is set to "USB" but no USB memory is plugged, the timer will work in TUNER mode. < If the source is set to "iPod" but no iPod is set, the unit will turn on into TUNER mode. < When the source is set to "TUNER" and the unit turns on, it will tune in to the station you selected last time. 33
