You can configure the rules to allow wireless-equipped computers and other devices to communicate with a wireless network. • Access point: Select Activated to allow wireless station to associate with the access point. • Channel: Select the channel you want to use from the drop-down List of Channel. This field determines which operating frequency will be used. It is not necessary to change the wireless channel unless you notice interference problems with another nearby access point. • Beacon Interval: Enter a value between 20-1000 milliseconds. The Beacon Interval value indicates the frequency interval of the beacon. A beacon is a packet broadcast by the Router to synchronize the wireless network. The default value is 100. • RTS/CTS Threshold: Should you encounter inconsistent data flow, only minor reduction of the default value 2347 is recommended. If a network packet is smaller than the preset RTS threshold size, the RTS/CTS mechanism will not be enabled. The Router sends Request to Send (RTS) frames to a particular receiving station and negotiates the sending of a data frame. After receiving an RTS, the wireless station responds with a 28

Access point Settings:
These are the settings of the access point. You can configure the
rules to allow wireless-equipped computers and other devices to communicate with a
wireless network.
Access point:
Select Activated to allow wireless station to associate with the access
point.
Channel:
Select the channel you want to use from the drop-down List of Channel. This
field determines which operating frequency will be used. It is not necessary to change
the wireless channel unless you notice interference problems with another nearby
access point.
Beacon Interval:
Enter a value between 20-1000 milliseconds. The Beacon Interval
value indicates the frequency interval of the beacon. A beacon is a packet broadcast by
the Router to synchronize the wireless network. The default value is 100.
RTS/CTS Threshold:
Should you encounter inconsistent data flow, only minor reduction
of the default value 2347 is recommended. If a network packet is smaller than the preset
RTS threshold size, the RTS/CTS mechanism will not be enabled. The Router sends
Request to Send (RTS) frames to a particular receiving station and negotiates the
